Wherein I Play Photographer

Yesterday, (erm. timestamp says today...whatevs.)

I told you about how my brother and his fiance asked if I'd take some photos when they got hitched.

Now - I'm not a great photographer - I don't even know if I'd say I'm good. 

I can get some good shots.

Sometimes.

Especially with my purty little Nikon.

Which I'm going to take photo classes with.

SOON.

BUT! These are some photos of a friends wedding that I took last spring. I was the MOH, the photographer, the wedding reception surprise throwing extrordinaire and a little bit of a bunch of other things :) These are a few of the photos that make my heart happy.

The day they got married, I slept little to no hours. I spent the night before cooking up a storm and making a cupcake stand look pretty...because they had changed their plans and were now getting married at City Hall a month earlier than they had planned - and were just going to get married and take a few photos - and a wedding day should be special..so I tried to make it as special as I could!

Then - SUPERERIN! came to the rescue and fixed the bouquet with some added flowers 

I fake hemmed the grooms pants that were WAY TOO LONG as we walked out the door to their apartment...and made our way to City Hall.

We walked in - and four minutes later? They were married.

Literally.

Then - we took a bunch of photos - and then I took them (and their families and a couple of friends) out to my parents farm, where we had a surprise lunch with a cute little reception - esk- thing and we toured the property and I made them laugh and giggle and do silly things for photo ops.

Four Minutes AND Married!

It was a beautiful day for a wedding!

I love when photos capture real moments of happiness, love and laughter.

Oh. Did I also mention that I took photos at their reception held a couple months later? But yeah. I was drunk. The entire time. Sooo...yeah. The quality? Not so good. And only gets worse. Sorry 'bout that.

This is right before the nice camera got taken away from me. Because apparently I was "way beyond the point of intoxication to be anywhere near electronics. Or people" Yes, they're laughing at me. 

The dance moves are STELLAR. What a good barn slam. 

So.

They're not great. Not professional by any means...

But I like them.

I'm  no professional - but here's hoping I can get them some good shots and make some photo memories of their special day!

And then take the photos and make them a beautiful leather bound photo album from Shutterfly.com. But shhhush. That part is their top secret wedding present!!
